Hickory’s Smokehouse is an authentic American BBQ restaurant set on the banks of the River Dee in the historic City of Chester. Here you can enjoy a traditional style of cooking that has its roots in the US, but is becoming just as popular over here. With their own geniune smoker, Hickory’s is becoming the place to experience authentic American barbecue in Chester.
Inside you’ll find red leather banquettes, individual booths with their own double doors onto the terrace overlooking the river, and a chef’s bar where you can see your food being cooked on the Yankee barbecue in front of you.
The menu is all about finger licking, sticky and slow cooked American BBQ. There’s popcorn in five flavours, the hottest buffalo wings you’ve ever tasted, skewers with a range of marinades, ribs slowly cooked in their Amercian smoker, salads for the summer and authentic American desserts.
You’ll also find 17 wide screens around the restaurant showing up to 17 different types of international sport, so you wont miss a second of the game.
From the bar you can enjoy a range of US and European beers, a fantastic bourbon selection, wines and cocktails. Children have their own special menu including burgers and make your own fajitas, they can also can enjoy a great selection of milkshakes (and the big kids can add a shot to enhance theirs) as well as smoothies and soft drinks.
This American bar and kitchen are open 7 days a week, open 11am – 11pm
From the city centre ring road turn into Souters Lane - La Boca is located at the bottom of the hill on the right hand side overlooking the river.
