Tatton Park becomes more than just a food festival during half term, with children’s rides, wild deer, rare breed sheep, the country’s most superb park and of course over 120 of the best food and drink exhibitors all assembled under one roof, all supported by the best chefs, featuring Simon Rimmer, Nigel Haworth and Andrew Nutter.
Food fans and families from across the region will be excited to know that the North West Food Lovers Festival will return to Tatton Park on 24th -26th October for its sixth year of foodie fun.
It will again feature the Taste Cheshire Interactive Education Area, which will showcase local producers and produce and show adults and children alike the diverse range of food and drink that Cheshire produces.
Included within the Taste Cheshire area will also be the free Kids Cooking Workshops. The Academy of Culinary Arts will return to the festival to host three workshops per day catering for up to 40 children at a time. Children will be able to roll their sleeves up and get messy with food as they discover new tastes and make delicious dishes they can take home.
The ever popular celebrity chef demonstrations will make a welcome return with Channel 4’s Sunday brunch star, Simon Rimmer headlining the festival with Michelin starred North West supremo, Nigel Haworth as well as Andrew Nutter of Nutter’s Restaurant also appearing on our funky demonstration stage. Prepare to be wowed by all of the delicious meals they create and get ready for your mouth to water. Sean Wilson, formerly of Coronation Street and now Master Saddleworth Cheese maker will be on the stage, with Cheshire Celebrity Chef and 6 venue owner, Dave Mooney takes the stage as well.
As well as the food activities to get your taste buds tingling there will also be over 130 food and drink exhibitors for you to try and buy all of their delicious produce. This year’s producers include everything from exotic game to liqueurs and hand-made chocolate truffles. Simply delicious!
A special VIP ticket has been introduced for 2014, which allows you to jump the queues. It includes a £5 food voucher to redeem in the food court and glass of champagne, all for just £15.
Festival Organiser, Stephen Wundke said: “Each year we try to cram even more into the food marquee so that visitors experience something different every time they come. The new cookery master classes will be great fun and I suspect hugely popular too. The quality of producers that we have booked for this year’s festival are second to none too and will provide visitors with a true taste of the very best the North West region has to offer, we can’t wait to get the festival started.”
The festival is all within a football pitch sized marquee so it doesn’t matter whether it rains or shines and we have brought even more children’s rides and activities to make sure it is a wonderful day of family fun. Where else can you be in a superb park like Tatton and have such fun.
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased via the North West Food Lovers websitewww.nwfoodloversfestival.co.uk Tickets are £6 in advance and £8 on the day with under 12s FREE.
