Beer is a social pleasure best served in good company, an ethos Tatton Brewery brew by.

Just a stone’s throw from Tatton Park in Knutsford you’ll find Tatton Brewery.

The family-run business has a custom built modern brewery which brews both classic and contemporary style beers which are sold across the county.

Tatton Brewery pride themselves on reviving a traditional local yeast out of its 50 year retirement for their brewing. Combining their modern brewery, the finest ingrediants, years of expert experience and their traditional yeast, has allowed them to produce a sublime range of internationally renowned beers.

Their eye-catching logo depicts a convivial couple sharing a beer from a drinking vessel which really hammers home the companies friendly approach and ethos – beer is a social pleasure best served in good company.

The image is known colloquially as ‘The Beer Drinkers’ and is originally from ancient Mesopotamia. It’s no coincidence that Mesopotamia also happens to be the birthplace of brewing and so it seemed only natural for Tatton Brewery to adopt the 400 year old seal.

The award-winning brewery boasts an extensive range of flavours which allows even a novice beer drinker to find a favourite.  They have four regular beers, which are always available, and they also have seasonal and occasional beers that populate their range throughout the year! From the malty and toffee flavours of Tatton Ale, the hoppy and fruity taste of Tatton Blonde to the award-winning Tatton Best which won best beer at the first ever Cheshire Country Fair Real Ale competition in August 2010.

We love Tatton Beers and the history their brewery pours into every beer. If you don’t believe us, we recommend you go see for yourself! The brewery opens its doors four times a year to the general public for their ‘Thirsty Thursday’ events. Taking place on the third Thursday in March, June, September and January, Thirsty Thursday allows 100 guests to tour the brewery and try the beers. Booking is advised as these popular events sell out fast! The brewery also offers private tours to parties of 12 or more (maximum being 40). With drinks on arrival, a walk-through tour of the brewing process and a chance to quench your thirst with a beer it’s easy to see why it’s a favourite for celebrities such as George Osborne.

Keep your eye out for this local brewery in pubs across Cheshire and the North West. Alternatively, you can order Tatton Beers directly to your door via their website. Either way, you’ve no excuse not to try this local luxury today!
