The 2020 Taste Cheshire Food and Drink festival is the 20th year of this prestigious Easter Classic, set at the award winning Chester Racecourse and organiser have signed up one of the highest profile group of Chefs yet to grace the hobs on the stage.

Festival organiser, Briony Wilson says “Our aim was to bring the best chefs at every level to the festival in 2020 and I am absolutely delighted with the line-up. Headlining the event are three of the biggest names on TV. No one doubts the influence that John Torode has had over the chefs of our country as he and Gregg Wallace have been hosting Masterchef now since 2005. Gregg has been at our event for 2 years and we always wanted to get John as well and this year we have succeeded. John can be seen on Monday the 13thApril.  We are thrilled that he can make it. Our second star is BBC, Eat Well for Less, Britain’s Best Home Cook and Food – Truth of Scare star, Chris Bavin. Chris is now one of the most important BBC Food presenters and we are delighted to welcome him back to Chester, Chris is appearing on Sunday 12th April. Finally, genuinely by popular demand we have managed to get Paul Ranking to return on Saturday 11th April. Most people know Paul as firstly the chef to secure Northern Irelands first Michelin star and latterly for his many appearances on Ready Steady Cook. Paul, is also one of the best presenters on the stage we have seen in our many years of putting on this event. He effortlessly creates outstanding food whilst entertaining with great stories of his time in the business – this is our strongest line-up yet and it makes me very proud to know we are yet again bringing the very best to Chester.”

Taste Cheshire CEO, Stephen Wundke agreed “This is such a fabulous line-up and appearing with this people is Master Chef star and local chef, Simon Wood, from Woods Restaurant in Hotel Indigo, Chester, Bake-Off finalist, Karen Wright as well as this year yet another edition of our quest to highlight and find the Regions Best young chef with Harthill Cookery Supremo, Brian Mellor. It really is the best line-up of events and cooking demonstrations we have ever assembled.
