This years Taste Cheshire Food and Drink Festival, to be held at Chester Racecourse over Easter, promises some of the biggest names in the culinary world. Organisers have already confirmed Masterchef Star, John Torode, Ready Steady Cook favourite, Paul Rankin and Eat Well for Less principal, Chris Bavin. Today they announce a support cast of TV winners and finalists that show this is the biggest event anywhere this Easter.

First on the list is Masterchef USA, Season 7 winner, author and now judge, Shaun O’Neale, who has been confirmed and Shaun will bring his rock and roll food show to the stage on Sunday 12th April. Shaun is a chef, DJ, Author and world traveller and he stops in to Chester on route back to the USA exclusively for the Chester event. Shaun said “I am delighted to be coming to Chester, I have heard a lot about it, so Katie and I found a way to fit it in to my schedule and I am really looking forward to meeting everyone on Easter Sunday. It’s been a whirlwind few years since winning Masterchef and it is such a buzz to be able to appear at these type of events” Shaun and Eat Well for Less star, Chris Bavin appear on Sunday.

The 2015 Masterchef winner and now owner of the eponymously named “Woods Restaurant” Simon Wood, takes to the stage on Saturday, the same day as Paul Rankin. Simon has gone from strength to strength since winning series 11, with multiple restaurants to his name and of course his Chester restaurant exciting everyone since its opening in 2019. This is a great opportunity for local people to get a glimpse of his undoubted skill.

Monday sees 2018 Bake-Off Finalist, Karen Wright joining John Torode at the hobs. Karen has a fun filled way of baking that makes it accessible to everyone. She has an infectious personality and those who have seen her on the stage describe her as simply charming, something that came through on television during her time in the famous marquee.

Festival Organiser, Briony Wilson said “It is another stellar cast of Chefs coming to Chester and yet again this shows our event as the premier event in the UK. All of our chefs are not just great cooks but they are terrific entertainers and for those who haven’t been before I couldn’t recommend this highly enough.”
