Chester based hospitality guru Kingdom Thenga is celebrating huge success as debut spirits brand steals the show! 

After a turbulent year for the hospitality industry, Chester based spirits brand Kingdom Recommends, can finally reveal their much-deserved success of winning not one but two awards at the highly respected Gin Masters. These include –

– Masters – Kingdom’s Ginger Spiced Navy Strength
– Silver – Kingdom’s London Dry Gin

Launched in 2008, The Global Spirits Masters rates and rewards excellence in spirits production, giving brands key differentiation in a crowded market. Judging is divided into 19 separate competitions to ensure each spirits category is given the utmost attention by specialised judges. The Global Spirits Masters is unique in its exclusive use of completely independent expert judges, including journalists, retail buyers, bartenders & educators

Melita Kiely, editor of The Spirits Business magazine and chair of The Gin Masters 2021 tasting, said:

“We’ve all known gin’s popularity has soared over recent years, but to have the chance to taste such a vast assortment of entries from around the world blind, and find so many deserving of top medals, is a testament to the skill and creativity of gin producers today.

Kingdom Thenga, Founder of Kingdom Recommends launched the brand at the end of 2020 amidst the global pandemic. Already suffering from their restaurant closures*, Kingdom & the team pushed on launching the first batch of flavours. Fast forward six months & the brand not only boasts a long list of stockists in the North West, sponsored high profile events in London & has recently launched two new spring flavours with more on the way. 

Kingdom owns three extremely successful restaurants in Chester including The Suburbs, The Yard & Old Dukes sports bar.
