What’s On in Chester this week! #Out and About

I hope you’re enjoying the build-up to the festive season.

Just wanted to share with you, the What’s on Chester December edition and also share some key dates for your diary on this pre Christmas week! Please feel free to share them on your social media as well of course with friends and family so no one misses out on the fabulous festive fun in Cheshire!

• Have you seen The Roving Moon yet? SPOILER: The Roving Moon is currently at Chester Boats on the River Dee.  Take a photo and share it with #Chestermoon on social media, to be entered into a prize draw to win a £50 Chester Gift Card this week. The moon will then move again this Thursday where it will settle at a new site and another great prize will be up for grabs. 

Don’t forget the Chester Christmas Market continues in town hall square until 22nd December! Traditional wooden chalets surrounding the iconic sparkling tree, discover unique, locally made produce and with handmade crafts, jewellery, accessories and stocking fillers.

• This Saturday and Sunday is the last weekend of free car parking at Chester Racecourse as provided by Chester BID. 

• Thursday 16^th December 7pm is the final parade for the festive season, The Winter Watch parade. Watch the Lord of Misrule and his ghoulish friends hit the cobbles for a riotous romp with a mischievous coterie of fire breathers, devils, skeletons, ice queens, Jack Frosts as the procession dances through the city centre. Location: Town Hall then loops around the City Centre. See Route Map Here. Time: 7:00pm Cost: FREE

• Friday 17^th December 3pm, Choir on the Canal. A free, outdoor event alongside the water edge of the canal. Wrap up warm, enjoy a hot chocolate, take part in some singing and be mesmerised by the Hare and the Moon walking theatre show performed by Eye of the Newt Theatre
