Momentum popped its first cork as a wine retailer back in 2005! Having been involved with wines from an early age (Howard’s family ran a chain of off-licences in the 70’s and 80’s), there was a belief that there was room in the market town of Oswestry for a wine specialist. Some 16 years later the business has evolved somewhat, and now operates as both a physical and on-line retailer, and a trade supplier to many hotels, restaurants, and bars. We’re thrilled to welcome Rachel Icke and Rachel Latham (yes two Rachels!) from Momentum Wines as guest co-costs for this enjoyable evening of wines from around the world in our Wine Garden.

Look forward to an exciting mix of wine styles, colours and flavours from around the world from some top producers who Momentum represent. We don’t do any ‘hard sell’ at wine school, so there is no selling on the night – all of the wines can be purchased directly online should you wish to buy any.

The Wine Garden is inspired by a super social al fresco dinner party and accommodates up to 18 guests in our perfectly private walled garden. There are always foodie treats on the menu but never wine snobbery!

During the two-hour event which is full of fun and free of political opinions you’ll delve into the regional climates that influence the grape’s flavour and explore the ‘jargon’ from the world of wine. You’ll have a blast as we share fun wine facts throughout the evening while happily answering any questions you may have.
