We are thrilled to announce that Boheme Chester, a proud member of Taste Cheshire, has been included in the esteemed Michelin Guide for Great Britain and Ireland – just three months after opening its doors! This prestigious recognition marks a significant milestone for our new establishment, solidifying its position as a must-visit dining destination in the heart of Chester.

Owners and best friends Ben Illes and Chef De Patron Andi Lowe-Smith expressed their heartfelt gratitude in a joint statement: “As a new restaurant in the city, we are overwhelmed by this incredible nod from Michelin. It’s a huge boost for our entire team, and we want to say a big thank you from all of us.”

Boheme Chester goes beyond the typical restaurant experience. We are a unique, all-day dining concept, independently owned and operated, which opened its doors in February 2024.

Michelin’s review highlights the exceptional qualities that set Boheme Chester apart:

“Located in the very heart of Chester on one of the city’s famous 13th Century rows, this impressive establishment operates as a café and bakery in the mornings, then slowly morphs throughout the day into a full-blown restaurant for dinner. There are three dining areas to choose from, all with a smart brasserie-style feel to them. The menu spotlights prime British ingredients, like terrific Creedy Carver duck, in well-executed and satisfying dishes.”

Boheme’s inclusion comes as one of the latest updates to the prestigious guide, which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary in Great Britain and Ireland. The guide features over 1,100 restaurants, including a select few from the city of Chester.

This recognition from Michelin is a true testament to the dedication and hard work of the Boheme team since opening. It underscores our unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality food and exceptional service, solidifying Boheme Chester’s reputation as a must-visit destination for discerning diners.
