Get ready for a taste of Spain in the heart of Chester! Salt House Tapas, a beloved Liverpool tapas restaurant, is thrilled to announce its grand opening in Chester this autumn.

This exciting expansion marks Salt House Tapas’ first venture outside of Liverpool. The independent restaurant will set up shop on Bridge Street, occupying the former Boheme site. Here, Chester residents can experience the restaurant’s renowned modern tapas menu and vibrant atmosphere.

A Feast for the Senses

The new Chester location boasts a spacious and inviting interior with seating for 90 guests. Additionally, 40 al fresco dining seats will be available outdoors, perfect for enjoying a delightful meal under the open sky. A dedicated bar area beckons those seeking a relaxing space to savour a cup of coffee or a handcrafted cocktail.

Salt House Tapas promises a culinary journey through seasonal and contemporary tapas dishes, all meticulously crafted by Head Chef Laszlo Nagy. With over 13 years of culinary expertise under his belt, Chef Laszlo brings impressive accolades to the table, including a Green Michelin Star, two AA rosettes, and a semi-finalist position in the North West heats of the BBC’s Great British Menu.   

Passionate Ownership, Proven Success

The expansion to Chester is spearheaded by co-owners Matt Robinson and Luke Creedon. Luke, formerly the executive chef of the Liverpool Salt House Tapas for eight years, joined forces with Matt to take ownership of the restaurant earlier this year.

“We are incredibly excited to be bringing the Salt House Tapas experience to Chester,” says Luke. “Chester’s food scene is flourishing, and we can’t wait to share our love for tapas with the local community. Our commitment is to uphold the same exceptional standards of food, drink, and service that have earned us recognition in Liverpool. At the same time, we aim to become an integral part of Chester’s vibrant hospitality scene.”

A Welcoming Ambiance for All Occasions

Salt House Tapas welcomes guests seven days a week, opening its doors at noon. Their popular lunch menu offers a tempting selection: three tapas dishes for a fixed price of £17.95. In the evening, diners can explore the a la carte menu, showcasing the finest local produce.
