The Lord Binning is New Moon’s first gastro pub, set in the rolling countryside village of Kelsall – 8 miles out of Chester – and has a fresh and vibrant £60,000 makeover. The refurb includes a brand new mouth-watering food menu coupled with delicious and creative drinks to tantalise taste buds.

New Moon Company has eight sites across the North West with unique brand concepts and there are even more exciting sites in the pipeline for next year and beyond. The Lord Binning was the first offering of New Moon – a dynamic and progressive company founded by Celebrity Chef Patron David Mooney and award-winning restaurateur Paul Newman. Since then, the guys haven’t looked back and brought a truly innovative dining experience to the North West.

The Lord Binning has not only undergone an aesthetics transformation, the food and drink menus have been overhauled to make them even better. The new menus have the New Moon signature twist they’ve become infamous for.

“With it being our first site, The Lord Binning, or ‘The Lord’ as we affectionately call it, holds a special place for both David and I. This site has propelled us to build New Moon Company across the rest of the North West, bringing with it several national opportunities now making themselves known. It all started here so we wanted to give The Lord a bit of New Moon Love after 4 years!” Paul Newman, MD of New Moon Co.

Local suppliers and ingredients are used to bring exciting dishes such as The Kelsall Hill Burger, £14.95, to the table. This particular beauty is lovingly smothered with Cheshire cheese and house-made ‘Howling at The Moon Sauce’ a much coveted New Moon Company secret ingredient sauce.

Equally The Lord Binning will now also serve the nationally renowned Rushton Grill, which boasted hits of over 4 million plus gained coverage in The Mirror, The Metro, The Lad Bible to name a few. The Rushton Grill (£120- £30 pp, it feeds 4) includes 16oz T Bone steaks, belly pork, short bone beef ribs, Cumberland sausages, 10oz gammon steaks along with an abundance of hand cooked chips, honest roasted carrots and beer basted onions with a plethora of gravies and sauces.12219384_1040681569332212_3241962644696435367_n

David Mooney, Chef Patron, adds, “We’re about good honest food; no fancy tricks, no fancy ways of doing things. That’s why people return to us time and time again. There is no big secret – have great produce, well trained chefs to bring these dishes to life and away you go. Oh, and stretchy pants for the Rushton Grill!

The Lord Binning is not only a warm and inviting gastro pub, it’s a beautiful countryside wedding and function destination venue – guests are treated to spectacular and well-designed function rooms and spacious bars and restaurants, putting the crowning glory on their special day with New Moon. The Lord Binning is welcoming new and visitors alike – long live The Lord!
