Taste Cheshire are proud to announce that Sam Elliott, Executive Chef at the prestigious Cheshire Cookery School in Altrincham, has agreed to take on the role as Chef Ambassador for Taste Cheshire. Sam joins Development Chef, Gaile Wundke at Taste Cheshire as together they look to champion the cause of home cooking and supporting local suppliers.
Sam was delighted to accept the role as he explains, “I have been a strong advocate of local produce and good honest cooking throughout my career as a Chef and to join Taste Cheshire who not only support the local producer throughout the county but local pubs, restaurants and food and drink events is the ideal platform for me to continue the work I do at The Cheshire Cookery School. I am really looking forward to engaging with more people who simply love cooking, like I do”
Sam Elliott has a blue blood cooking background with his early years working in the French Alps as a Private Chef for a luxury Chalet company and then a stint on the Cote D’azure before taking up a position at Claridges and 2 Michelin starred restaurants in London. He joined the team at The Cheshire Cookery School in 2015 and this allows him to express fully his love for food and art whilst teaching people how to create great dishes in the kitchen.
Sam will be providing Taste Cheshire members with recipes that they can do at home and instructional videos to help with all sorts of cooking skills. He will also be running free cooking classes at the Chester Food Drink & Lifestyle Festival at Easter next year when the event returns to Chester Racecourse.
