Cheshire Farm Shop Cheerbrook celebrates 21 years! #Blog

Victoria Hayes
15th September 2021

21 years ago, on the 1st October, Andrew took a leap into the unknown & opened for the first time as Cheerbrook Farm Shop, offering local produce & his own reared beef.

Over two decades on Andrew’s passion for great, local food, is still at the heart of Cheerbrook – now with butchery, bakery, deli, farm shop & café; still sharing their love of fabulous food with their local community & supporting local producers.

Celebrating 21 Years

Throughout September we’re celebrating! With a competition for local school children to design a birthday cake, chances to win a ‘Golden Ticket’ in store & sharing stories of
colleagues, local suppliers & Cheerbrook history.
Celebrations will be topped off with a weekend of fun, fabulous food & celebration from Friday 1st – Sunday 3rd October 2021.

We Love Local – a message from Cheerbrook

From our fabulous customers to local suppliers, charities & our colleagues, our local community is at the very heart of Cheerbrook.
We’re proud to support local producers, from those who have stocked our shelves for 21 years including Buckley’s Bees & Garnett’s Turkey’s, to start up companies taking their own leap into the unknown such as Therapy & Scent & Traction Cider.
Our team are the life of Cheerbrook, making, baking & serving each & every Cheerbrook product. We’ve worked with hundreds of local people over our 21 years, many of whom
took on their first Saturday job with us. Bringing their ideas, passion & experience, Cheerbrook would not be what it is today without each & every one of our team.

Throughout our 21st year we’re raising funds for Nantwich District Nurses (via Mid Cheshire Hospitals Trust), a charity very close to our hearts here at Cheerbrook. Each year we support a different local charity, including Bloodwise, Team Lewis Trust & CSI Basics, through our 10p carrier bags & events such as our Christmas Tasting Evening.

About Cheerbrook

Having grown up on a successful pig farm, run by Dad, Sam & Mum, Miranda, in 1996 the British pig industry took a severe downturn & Andrew looked to diversify. Taking his passion for good food & cattle, Andrew began to sell his beef at the local farmers market in Nantwich, with the support of Mum, Miranda. Following its success, Andrew opened Cheerbrook Farm Shop on 1st October 2000, offering his own reared beef & local produce.
Soon after, Sarah, Andrew’s wife to be, joined the family business with their passion & determination, 21 years later Cheerbrook stands as it is today; multi-award-winning farm shop, butchery, deli & café, proud to provide delicious local food, to our local community.
