Christmas has come to Bents! #Review

It’s never too early to get in the festive spirit and, with that in mind, I headed to the Bents Christmas range opening!

Each year the team out-do themselves with fantastic displays, a personal favourite being the Orient Express scene. The displays walk you through the different styles, themes and designs Christmas could bring to your home this year.  The range has something for everyone whether it’s a low-key affair or a winter wonderland you’re after – Bents has got your Christmas covered.

This year Bents have taken the festive indulgence to the next level, by adding a Winter Food Market to the Open Skies Glass House! The authentic chalet style seating areas encase the Bavarian style food huts making a cosy atmosphere reminiscent of a Swiss ski resort. Being in the Open Skies Glass House, visitors can feel the benefit of being outdoors without the risk of rain (or possibly snow) ruining the fun.

You really can shop till you drop this year and then refuel in style as the Winter Food Market has something for everyone! Bents’ German Bratwurst stand boasts three varieties of the classic sausage, including a delicious vegan option, all served in toasted pretzel buns. The huts also offer hot pulled pork and pulled mushroom buns, pork scratchings, honeycomb, crepes and waffles. Wash it down with a selection of soft drinks, mulled wine, beer, warm apple toddy, Illy coffee, tea and hot chocolate with the option to add a boozy shot!

My personal favourites were the pulled mushroom hot sandwich, bursting with flavours and fresh rocket (it even had my mushroom hating brother on board!!) and the mulled wine which leaves me feeling festive no matter what time of year. With live music on a Friday evening, the Market is a perfect mid shop food stop for all the family and promises festive feelings and flavour aplenty!

It’s easy to see how a visit to Bents is a part of Christmas traditions across the North West and this year really is no different. Bents offers an alternative to the big city markets that is friendly, stylish and fun for the whole family! With smiling staff on hand to help and advise, Christmas shopping has never been so relaxing.

The Winter Food Market is open daily from midday until the store closes, with late night shopping Wednesday – Friday.
