Join us at two AA rosette The Forge Chester for an intimate lunch featuring some amazing Blanc de Noirs wines from around the world!
Blanc de Noirs are white wines, mostly sparkling, which are made entirely from black grapes. A Blanc de Noirs Champagne, for example, is made with just Pinot Noir and/or Pinot Meunier grapes. Look forward to bolder flavours such as red fruits with richer notes of brioche and spice. The complexity of Blanc de Noirs wines makes them superb partners for a wide range of dishes.
We’ll welcome you with a glass of sparkling Blanc de Noirs which can be enjoyed without food and each course will be paired with a different Blanc de Noirs wine from different regions of the world – we’ll include at least one still Blanc de Noirs wine and at least one Blanc de Noirs Champagne plus there’s a fuller flavour sparkling Blanc de Noir to enjoy after lunch too.
The Forge is within Chester’s Hotel Indigo and Executive Chef Dan Regan was awarded two AA rosettes in early 2024. Dan previously worked at the two Michelin-starred Ynyshir under Chef Patron Gareth Ward and we can’t wait to share Dan’s culinary skills and sensational dishes with our guests! The Forge works with some incredible suppliers which includes acclaimed butcher Aubrey and Allen who have recently been awarded a Royal Warrant by His Majesty The King.
With an emphasis on wild produce and sustainability, the open kitchen at The Forge cooks over wood and charcoal with meats aged on the premises. Oak, Ash and Beech from local forests provide the fuel, imparting extraordinary flavour into the beef, fish, lamb, game and venison on the menu.
Take home your bespoke and invaluable wine tasting notes book and gift bag for future reference which features all the facts about our wine selection which are sourced from a range of local and online specialist stores such as Tanners Wines, Waitrose, DeFine Food and Wine, The Wine Society, Laithwaites and M&S. We don’t sell any wine at our events so there’s no hard sell at the end.
