To celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III, Norton Priory Museum and Gardens has partnered with the Cheshire Chefs, Ben Ackland and Brian Mellor, who have created a very special afternoon tea to mark the occasion.
Drawing on their own specialisms, this is an artisan afternoon tea, which will be served in the medieval Undercroft at Norton Priory, complete with a range of teas to accompany the food. The Undercroft was once part of the grand Georgian mansion which graced the site until 1928, so this is a rare opportunity to dine in a space which was part of the monastic complex and also the Brooke family’s home from 1545 through to 1921, when they left the site.
There are two menus, including a vegetarian option, and tickets for the Coronation Afternoon Tea which includes, entry to the museum and its grounds as well as entry to the ‘Shine A Light’ Outdoor Concert( a concert featuring the Shine Company from a place for Us with hits from Eurovision and West End Musicals that is guaranteed to bring ‘ooh ahh just a little bit’ of musical magic to the weekend. The concert will follow the afternoon tea starting at 5:00pm, on the excavated remains of the priory.
Timings: The museum and gardens are open for general admission between 10-5pm Afternoon Tea: 3pm Concert: 5pm
Tickets for the Coronation Afternoon Tea, which include museum and grounds entry as well as the outdoor concert are priced at £35 per person, or £25 per person for members of Norton Priory Museum and Gardens.
