Are you curious about Crémant?! This enjoyable afternoon out is for lovers of all things fizz! Crémant is a super alternative to Champagne and much more affordable! The wine is made in the same way – methode traditionelle – but with different grapes which is dependent on the region the wine is made in, so the flavours from each are quite different.

There are 8 permitted regions for Crémant in France: the Loire, Burgundy, Bordeaux, Savoie, Alsace, Die, Limoux and Jura and you’ll taste Crémants from each region, four of them with lunch to appreciate how these fantastic wines pair with food.

Join us in our unique event space, Art Box and look forward to an entertaining afternoon out in Chester with Cheshire wine specialist, Richard J Smith. Art Box features some amazing paintings from emerging artists around our region offering guests a light yet calming environment to experience wine and food pairing at its best.

Featuring a three course lunch, enjoy the wonderful world of wine in a relaxed atmosphere and free of political opinions! There are always foodie treats on the menu but never wine snobbery! Our mouthwatering lunch will be prepared and served by the amazing students at Academy West at The Cheshire College hospitality school. We are proud to support the college wherever possible as we have done since 2013. There are a total of 8 different Crémants to look forward to throughout the afternoon.

All of our wines are sourced from our favourite local and online specialist retailers such as Tanners Wines, Waitrose, DeFine Food and Wine, Wanderlust Wines, Laithwaites, The Wine Society and M&S and represent excellent value for money: find out why there’s such an array of wine pricing around the world too. We don’t sell any wine at our events so there’s no hard sell at the end. Our wine school gift bag is waiting with your bespoke wine tasting notes book and pen for you to use during the day and take home with you: a handy reference should you wish to visit any of the wine stores we’ve used at a later date.
