There’s still time for festive fun…especially a festive film!

Visitors to the spectacular Bolesworth Christmas Lights Trail will now be able to enjoy free festive film nights with a series of Christmas classics running all week from the 20th to 24th December. In addition, due to popular demand, the outdoor and fully covid compliant Christmas lights trail is now open seven days a week and runs until Christmas Eve.

Those who head to Bolesworth’s open air illuminated winter wonderland will be able to enjoy free family film screenings in the venue’s cosy Alpine Lodge.  There will be a number of popular Christmas movies playing including; Frozen, Elf, Love Actually and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas with three different movies playing each evening from 4.30pm.

Guests will be able to enjoy the movies in comfort, overlooking the amazing lights and laser show arena, and be able to purchase a range of food and drink.  The venue is fully covid compliant offering acres of space for visitors to enjoy.

Before or after the movies, visitors are also able to enjoy the open air 1.2-mile magical lights trail that runs along the lakeside and through winding woodland paths and grounds with a fusion of magical colours, music, and unique experiences.  The event culminates with a spectacular laser light show and sparking light display all choreographed to music for all the family to enjoy.

Along the way, visitors will spot real reindeer and enjoy a selection of festive food and drink at the Christmas village or snap up some special gifts from the Christmas market.  There is also a selection of fun fairground rides for all the family to enjoy.

As well as the beautifully lit winter wonderland, the Christmas village is hosting an all-weather and environmentally friendly synthetic ice-skating rink for the more energetic family members to book.

Those wanting to indulge at Christmas can also enjoy the VIP Champagne Island that can be accessed across a bridge while soaking up views of the illuminated Bolesworth Castle.  Cosy blankets and a glowing fire pit are available to help keep visitors warm on the winter nights.

Nina Barbour, Managing Director of Bolesworth, said: “The festive film nights are an exciting addition to what is proving to be a hugely popular and fun evening.  We are also delighted to now be open every day of the week as we run up to Christmas Eve to give visitors the opportunity to get into the festive spirit and enjoy all that we have on offer.”
