Over the weekend we headed to Foodies Festival at Tatton Park, Knutsford.
This was the first time that Foodies Festival Christmas event had come to Tatton Park and it promised to be a festive funfair for all the family. With Michelin Star chefs, MasterChef winners and top chefs cooking live in the Chefs Theatre, delicious dishes from pop up restaurants and Street Food on sale at every corner, a festive tipple, champagne, wine and beer masterclasses and Bake Off winners in the Cake & Desserts Theatre – there really was something for everyone!
As a partner at the event, our Taste Cheshire team had their own stall to promote our fabulous members! But we didn’t go empty handed. We decided to get in the festive spirit and showcase some of our wonderful local producers in a Taste Cheshire Hamper! But we didn’t make just one hamper… oh no, we made two! One sweet and one savoury! We decided to do this to show just how great our members are to the public.
In our savoury hamper we had a selection of products from My Spicy Blends, Bim’s Kitchen, The Weston Biltong Co, Greka Food, Cheshire Chutney, Essential Cuisine and Big 5 Sauces. It was great to see Big 5 Sauces, who were also at the event selling their fantastic range and gift sets. We popped over to see them but couldn’t get close they were that busy!
In our sweet hamper we had a selection of treats from Precious Chocolates, Carslake Tea, Simply Cocoa, Berry Fresh Bakery, Mrs Darlington’s and Cheshire Tea Co. Again, it was lovely to see Cheshire Tea Co at the event! We tried their Green Tea with Cherry which was the perfect midday refuel!
We also teamed up with Naughty Birds for our hampers. Naughty Birds is a fantastic local producer of tea towels and kitchen aprons. Her funny phrases caught our eye and we just knew they’d make a perfect addition to our Taste Cheshire Hamper! On offer we also did gift bags with our Taste Cheshire Cookbook and a Naughty Birds Apron, an Afternoon Tea set, a 3 Jar Selection Box and a Super Hamper that included absolutely everything!
We had an absolutely brilliant time chatting to the public about our producers, getting to know the other sellers and enjoying a festive mulled wine or two! With our festive hampers flying off the stall we really had a fantastic weekend. Due to their popularity we have decided to sell our hampers online, so keep an eye out for them coming soon!
