Let me begin by welcoming one of our newest members, Great Food Affairs Limited, to the Taste Cheshire Family! Great Food Affairs have been creating great food for over 22 years and pride themselves on their excellent quality, flavours and unique products.
Based in the heart of Cheshire, all of their products are made using the best and freshest ingredients wherever possible as product quality is their top priority.
Great Food Affairs are behind some of our favourite snacks! From the world’s best selling Allioli to their vegan friendly Bruschetta their really is a snack for everyone. Now the genius’ at Great Food Affairs have released a new product that is sure to become a staple in any household!
Slabs crisps are thick and big chunky crisps that are impressively 4 times thicker than any other crisp. Made with olive oil combined with sensational flavours, each slab crisp is huge and flat, don’t break when dipped, or slathered in cheese or paté! We loved loading up the ready salted slabs with cheese, salsa and jalapeños (as recommended by Great Food Affairs) and heating them in the oven for a couple of minutes! A take on the classic nacho that doesn’t go soggy and carries a good crunch with every bite!
Slabs are a unique take on the classic crisp, and with most flavours being Vegetarian, the Sweet Chilli is Vegan and Sea Salt is Gluten Free. There really is no excuse not to have these beauties in your snack drawer!
Another essential to your snack drawer is Great Food Affairs Bruschetta bites! Who doesn’t love a delicious lightly toasted bread snack that comes in different varieties, made with fresh tomato, fresh garlic and fresh onion? Not a fan of the savoury? Well, it’s a good job they do a sweet version too, their Teacake Toasties, with cinnamon, spices, candied peel and fruit are to die for!
Great as a simple snack, or can be jazzed up with a topping for the perfect party canapé nibbles. For example, they go great with cheese, fresh tomato, pesto or paté. We also love that the Bruschetta is vegan friendly – a treat that everyone can enjoy!
Now for the piece de resistance! Great Food Affairs are the proud producers of the world’s best selling Allioli! Made with an authentic recipe, using fresh purple garlic, oil and seasoning this little pot of garlicky goodness packs a punch! It’s versatile too – making a great marinade for meat, an alternative to wherever you use oil, sandwich spread or just as a dip. However you use it, the flavour is authentic and recognisable!
