Hump-Day Treat! #Review

Being a miserable day yesterday, both Issie and I decided we needed a Hump day treat! So, decided that we would pop out of the office for lunch and visited Burger Shed 41, Chester.

We fought our way from the office through the gusty winds and arrived at the restaurant to be met by a gracious host who showed us to a table.

We were delighted to find out that the 2 for 1 Wednesday burger deal was on. So being lunchtime we promptly ordered; I choose the Shed Chicken Burger and Issie choose the Shed Cheese Burger and since it was a treat for us, we added a side of the Poutine (Chips, Cheese and Gravy) to share.

Burger Shed 41 had a lovely lunchtime atmosphere, lots of chatter and buzz about the place. Our food arrived pretty quickly, despite the restaurant being busy with nearly every table full at this point. We were ready to tuck in!

Both Burgers came with a gherkin on the side, and whilst the side of Poutine probably wasn’t needed (we both left feeling very full) it was a great treat. My Chicken Burger came in a brioche bun with lettuce, mayo and tomato.  The 2 large pieces of smoky coated chicken breast were perfectly moist and were complimented well by the salad. Issie’s Cheese Burger also came in a brioche bun with a large beef patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and the famous Shed sauce! a lovely addition as it really brought all the flavours together.

For us, the Poutine really stole the show! It is one of my favourite sides and this is certainly some of the best Poutine I’ve had in a long time. For Issie this was her first time trying it (Southern Girl up North!) and she certainly seemed to enjoy it.

We will definitely be back for the 2 for 1 deal again, it is great value for great food and the menu has something for everyone.
