Summer is nearly here and I for one am ready to be sat in my garden relaxing with a drink. Jon and Bill from Hunter’s Gin were at our Food Fiesta and told me all about their Gin twists this summer. These adaptations are an amazing way to simply change up your drinks to get you in that summer mood.
The Cheshire Champagne
As we are a Cheshire business, we like to celebrate that and Hunter’s have made a perfect drink for occasion:ย the Cheshire Champagne. Use a champagne glass, squeeze a small amount of lemon into the drink, pour in some prosecco and top it off with a small amount of Hunter’s Gin. Absolutely heavenly and a real taste of summer.
Ginger&Gin
This is probably the easiest drink change but it makes such a difference to the drink; all you have to do is combine Hunter’s Gin with either ginger ale or ginger beer. Simply add the ginger ale or ginger beer as you would with the tonic in a gin and tonic and it makes your drink perfect for a sunny day. Fresh and Zingy.
Hunter’s Bramble
Instead of your basic Gin & Tonic, you can easily substitute in one of your 5 a day by using fresh pressed apple juice, a splash of elder-flower cordial with a sprig of mint. Bill also suggests adding a citrus fruit garnish (lemon, lime, orange or grapefruit are some of his suggestions).
Talking to producers who love what they do always reveals something special about how to enjoy it even more and this was time well spent with master ginsmiths. Thanks Bill and Jon
Hunters Cheshire Gin is a single batch, distilled, London Dry Gin based on an adaptation of a 300-year-old recipe.
