A true Cheshire Brewery and Distillery…

Weetwood Ales began in 1992 and we’ve been brewing exceptional beer since then. We get on with this quietly in our beautiful corner of Cheshire, close to Tarporley, focusing on quality and consistency and working with masses of fantastic natural ingredients to create flavour and character.

Having set up Weetwood Distillery we now also distil from grain as well as to brew from grain, and have spirits maturing in wood. After all, beer and spirits go hand-in-hand and we love a great gin or whisky as much as we love good beer.

Perhaps best known for our bestselling Cheshire Cat, we have a large range of cask ales, keg beers, lagers, gins and Cheshire’s first single malt whisky, “The Cheshire”. Our products are sold at the finest bars in Cheshire and beyond and at our own onsite taproom which is also a shop. We run regular ticketed events for those that want to learn about what we do. Our online shop now allows Weetwood fans to order for home delivery across the UK.

Over the years we’ve accumulated many awards. In 2025 our Turncoat 4% New England IPA won best session ale in the country at the SIBA National beer awards and our single malt whisky won both silver at the International Wine and Spirits Competition and gold at the London Spirits Competition. We have a team of outstanding, dedicated people and together we brew, distill and distribute more than 1.5 million pints of beer and thousands of bottles of spirits every year from our modern, SALSA accredited brewery and distillery just up the road from where we started.
