Welcome to the Hare, a family-owned pub in the idyllic Cheshire village of Farndon. The famous Holt Bridge, crossing the meandering river Dee, links Farndon with its neighbouring Welsh village of Holt. A few strides up the hill and you’ll find the quaint village pub with its sunny little terrace looking out over the village.
The Hare is a natural part of life in this part of the world. People come to enjoy its warming open fires, bristling pub atmosphere and good honest food. There’s a good selection of real ales and a full wine list with some they even blend and import themselves. The menu is a mix of classic pub grub and seasonal dishes using local ingredients all made on site.
The Hare also plays host to two local cottages, available to book for country getaways, and a spacious private dining room upstairs.
It’s the third pub in the burgeoning Pubs ltd group, founded by Jerry Brunning. Sister to the Swan at Marbury, The Black Bear in Whitchurch and The Henry Potts in Chester.
