Description

The Lambing Shed Farm Shop and Café is set in over 500 acres of farmland, in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. It is housed in the very building where Arnold Mitchell and his son Michael reared their sheep over 60 years ago. The Mitchell family decided to open a Farm Shop and Café in 2015, in order to showcase their award -winning meats, along with the very best Cheshire has to offer in terms of local produce.

Michael Mitchell and his son Robert continue to work the land at Moseley Hall Farm, upholding generations of tradition, rearing cattle and sheep and growing fresh produce. Only the finest meat is available at The Lambing Shed Butchery, with lamb and beef straight from the farm, and pork and chicken from local farmers, whose reputation for quality is well deserved.

Alongside the in-house Butchery, the Farm Shop houses a large Delicatessen, where you will find a range of over 30 different cheeses, along with authentic cooked meats and olives, freshly-made quiches, soups, salads, and dips. The Lambing Shed Deli is where you will also find the shops award-winning pies, pastries and sausage rolls, which are handmade and baked fresh daily by the delicatessen team.

The Lambing Shed prides itself on the every expanding home-made produce it sells, which now includes a range of freshly prepared ready to cook meals, that customers can take home and enjoy. The Farm Shop boasts over 40 local suppliers, housing produce that ranges from fresh fruit and veg, to dairy products and ice cream, to jams, marmalades, chocolates, flavoured teas and more.

The Lambing Shed Cafe serves a delicious menu based entirely around fresh meat from the Butchery and local high quality produce. The chefs use only the best quality ingredients to create their dishes, and everything is cooked from fresh, including The Lambing Shed’s famous homemade cakes.

The Cafe serves a variety of delicious meals including burgers, small plates, and larger more hearty dishes, which can be enjoyed inside or out on the patio. Specials are offered daily along with breakfast. The Café also offers afternoon tea from 3pm onwards, accompanied by a choice of tea, coffee or prosecco.

The team at The Lambing Shed pride themselves on the five-star customer service they provide and the friendly and knowledgeable staff are always happy to help and ensure you thoroughly enjoy your visit!
