Welcome to the White Lion Hankelow, a beautifully restored and refurbished pub with dining at the heart of this small Cheshire village.

We provide a warm and friendly welcome, taking full advantage of the wealth of incredible ingredients and producers in and around Cheshire to create a unique and creative menu that ebbs and flows with the seasons. You can expect some contemporary takes on British classics as well as a few wild cards to intrigue & delight.

We are unique locally in that the pub was saved and is now owned by the community, one of about 100 community owned pubs in the UK. After the White Lion was closed in 2016 forty members of the community stepped in to invest in the building, securing its future. The restoration was a stop-start process but the doors opened for business on 31st March 2022 having been beautifully restored, renovated and modernised.
