Ridiculously Rich by Alana – Cheshire review! #Review

We recently joined forces with the wonderful Caroline, Cheshire’s Ambassador for Alana Spencer’s Ridiculously Rich range of delicious handmade cakes!

You may remember Alana Spencer as the first Welsh winner of the Apprentice back in 2016. Alana won Lord Sugar over with her home baked recipes and impressive business plan and has since gone onto successfully launch her brand, Ridiculously Rich by Alana nationwide.

Ridiculously Rich stays true to the name, using only luxury ingredients and Belgian chocolate in their six well-loved staple bakes for the ultimate decadent treat!

We had brownies on the brain when Caroline sent us a selection of baked beauties to taste test at the office. Safe to say our January diets went well and truly out the window!

 

 

The chunky rocky road slices were first out of the box and gone in seconds! All that was left was a crumb and a chorus of “ooh’s” and “aaahh’s” from the Taste Cheshire team. Made with 55% dark Belgian chocolate and a mixture of biscuit and giant marshmallow chunks – these slices of gooey goodness will truly rock your world.

Next up we tried the melt-in-your-mouth Peanut Butter Fudge Cakes. A thick layer of creamy peanut butter is sandwiched by smooth milk chocolate and a crunchy biscuit base and makes for the perfect accompaniment to a good brew or chopped up with ice cream and chocolate sauce for a ridiculously rich and ridiculously easy dessert! In short, if you’re a peanut butter nutter, this is the cake for you!

 

Think you know brownies? Think again. Ridiculously Rich have changed the brownie game with their irresistible creme brûlée twist on the classic! A gooey brownie base holds together a smooth middle layer of vanilla and white chocolate that is then glazed in butterscotch.  Inspired by the french dessert crème brûlée this brownie is a taste sensation that you have to try!
