Treat your loved one at The Forge this Valentine’s Day
This Valentine’s Day, don’t just say it with flowers, say it with a stunning seven-course tasting menu at The Forge in Chester instead. Open on Valentine’s Day itself, lovers won’t need to reach for the takeaway menu or spend an afternoon prepping in the kitchen on the most romantic day of the year.
Priced at £75 per person, lovebirds will enjoy a titillating cocktail upon arrival, with La Vie en Rose; made with Elderwood Gin, lemon, sugar, rose, and rosé prosecco, alongside some homemade rosemary focaccia with seasonal butter to amuse their bouche.
Following this, guests will dig into some signature snacks, including Menai rock oysters and game lollipop to share. Enjoy a scorched Scottish mackerel with kohlrabi, radish, apple and lemongrass, and to cleanse the palate – a refreshing bergamot sorbet served with a splash of Prosecco. 
For the piece de resistance, a treacle-cured Hereford rump with oxtail, onion consommé, peas and beans. Of course, there are sweets for your sweet and sugar for your honey, with poached rhubarb and custard ice cream with honeycomb and vanilla mousseline, and a Jaunty Goat coffee with petit fours to finish.
What’s more, their special Valentine’s Day menu is available 11th -19th February, meaning there’s more opportunity to celebrate with that special someone if February 14th just doesn’t work.
