Looking for something simple to bake with the kids? Fill that last week of summer with lovely memories from your kitchen with that bonus sweet treat with this simple recipe using Cheshire Flour from Nelstrops, it is a winner!

Step 1:

Place all the ingredients into a mixer with a beater and mix for 1 minute on slow speed and 2 minutes on medium to fast speed. You should have a short bread pastry which is smooth and clear.

Step 2:

Place the short bread pastry onto a clean work surface and roll out using a rolling pin until it is about 1cm to 2cm thick (Try to roll out the shortbread evenly to ensure they all bake at the same time). Using a cookie cutter cut out your desired shapes and place them onto a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Step 3:

Preheat the oven to 180oC/160oC Fan/Gas mark 4. Place the short bread in the oven for 15 minutes to 25 minutes or until golden brown (You can take the short bread out of the oven after 10 minutes and dust slightly with sugar to give them a sweeter top). Once the short bread is baked place them on a baking wire to cool.
