A ewe-nique arts trail is coming to Tatton Park’s 50-acre gardens in collaboration with Academy Award® award-winning studio, Aardman, and global art producer, Wild in Art, to bring one of Aardman’s much loved characters, and star of film and television, ‘Shaun the Sheep’ to Tatton Park this spring.

Find the flock!

Visitors to Tatton Park, one of the region’s largest visitor attractions will find Shaun the Sheep grazing in new pastures this Easter. The arts trail of 12, super-sized, Shaun the Sheep sculptures, will be positioned in Tatton Park’s iconic gardens and is a colourful celebration of everything visitors love about Tatton’s glorious gardens.

Taking art outdoors

Each sculpture will be uniquely designed and painted by a group of artists from across the region, some of which are local to the area and will use Tatton’s historic garden landscape as inspiration. From the cherry blossom of the world-famous Japanese Garden to the fruits and vegetables that flourish in the veg garden – look out for fun and playful designs that will be adding more splashes of colour to the spring gardens. Caroline Jackson Tatton Park’s Marketing Manager explains, “We’re thrilled to be welcoming such an iconic and universally loved character to the park. It’s not the first time we’ve taken art outdoors and the gardens are the perfect backdrop to make the arts trail a colourful adventure for families.”

Kate O’Callaghan, Project Manager at Wild in Art said, “We’re thrilled to be continuing our ongoing partnership with Aardman Animations to bring Shaun the Sheep to Tatton Park, one of our local National Trust properties. We hope visitors will discover the joy of the trail and see how our incredible artists have brought this iconic and cheeky character to life.”

Molly Van Den Brink, Attractions & Live Experiences Manager at Aardman added, “We are excited to see Shaun arrive at Tatton Park this Spring – a season so synonymous with newborn lambs and nature blooming, we are certain he will be well looked after and will provide great family entertainment for visitors seeking the beautifully designed Shaun sculptures around the trail.”

Can ‘ewe’ spot the flock this Easter?

Visitors to the park and gardens will find Shaun the Sheep from Friday 29th March, and he’ll be grazing at Tatton Park throughout the spring and into summer. Those who visit for Easter adventures between Friday 29 March – Monday 1 April will receive a chocolate reward for finding the whole flock and they can also enjoy family garden games, inspired by Shaun, on the lawns and in the orchards. Entry tickets to Tatton’s parkland and gardens can be purchased online or on the day.
