Opening on 2nd March in Barons Quay shopping centre, Northwich, ‘Sticky Paws in the Flavour Forest’ is the first of its kind. With an inventive fuss-free dining experience, the attraction offers a ‘never seen before’ solution to easily eating out with the kids.
Embracing ‘family time’ can often be easier said than done with young kids. What starts as a well-intentioned trip out can quickly descend into unpredicted chaos and a speedy return home. Eating out can be particularly stressful; a staggering 92% of families with young children claim they struggle to find a family-friendly venue when they’re out*.
Now a week away from opening, Sticky Paws in the Flavour Forest has been designed to make everything as easy and fun as possible for parents and kids alike. From the Digi iPad menus which enable instant ordering straight from your table, right through to the themed, indoor adventure play area, the attraction fully revolves around ‘eating with the kids, made easy’.
Founded by the creators of the nationally acclaimed Cheshire tourist attraction, The Ice Cream Farm, Sticky Paws was designed to meet the needs of parents and guardians with young children. With no need to leave the table, guests can order at their convenience with the tap of a finger from a Digi iPad menu, allowing the kids to play or eat as and when they please.
A unique ‘pick and mix’ menu has been specially created, enabling adults and little ones to order as much or as little as they like throughout their visit from a selection of manageable, individual bowl dishes. Whatever the timeframe, appetite or attention span, the relaxed ‘order what you like, when you like’ system aims to take away the stresses of a sit-down meal with young children. A dedicated host will also be on hand to welcome families, guide them through the process and answer any questions.
The menu offers wholesome, nutritious dishes, cleverly incorporating healthy ingredients. From traditionally ‘safe’ choices such as crispy chicken strips to more adventurous options such as Thai noodle salad with lettuce, red cabbage, peppers, carrots, spring onions, mango and coconut, parents can easily introduce little ones to new foods and flavours. With manageable bowl portions all affordably priced between £2-£5, there is no need to worry about large, half-eaten plates and a hefty bill. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are also readily available.
When not enjoying tasty new dishes, kids can let their imagination run wild in the ‘The Flavour Forest’ – an indoor adventure play area where they can climb, bounce and slide to their heart’s content. The Flavour Forest is unique adventure play concept unlike anything you would ordinarily see in a indoor enviroment and offers a safe and visually exciting environment in close vicinity to parents and guardians, giving them full peace of mind.
Jonathan Fell, Director of The Ice Cream Farm, comments: “We wanted to create a new kind of family dining experience that’s unlike anything that’s been seen before in the indoor leisure sector. We have designed everything to be as stress-free as possible to create a relaxed, safe and enjoyable environment for all the family.”
“As the retail sector continues to face significant challenges, posing numerous issues for town centres and the councils, experiential attractions are bringing life back to the high street. Leisure, atmosphere and immersive experiences are continuing to take a considerable percentage of consumer spending and provide a fantastic solution to revitalise the high street nationwide.”

Cheshire Farm Ice Cream has come a long way since 1986 when it was just a small parlour selling ice cream straight from the farm.
