The Tea Room wants your favourite recipes!

The Tea Room are asking children to send their favourite cake recipes for a summer competition that will see the winning recipe form part of their August menu.

Harriet Henry, co-owner of The Tea Room said, “Throughout the year we meet plenty of budding bakers.  As the summer holidays are looming, we thought it would be a lovely idea for children to submit their favourite cake recipes to us.  The winning entrant can help me bake the cake and the bake will take price of place on our August menu”.

Entrants can email their recipes to [email protected] (along with contact details) or drop it off at the Tea Room in Cotton Shop Yard.  The competition is open now and closes on 24th July.  The winner will be notified direct by Friday 29th July. Large cakes, traybakes, cupcakes and savoury bakes can all be submitted. The competition is open to children aged 4 to 11 years.

Harriet continued, “We were really impressed with the children’s category in our Christmas Bake Off, so we are really intrigued to see what this competition brings. We probably have a lot of competition!”
