One of the things I’ve always loved about the festive season is the cocktails.
It may be because I’ve always been a rum drinker, and rum is more often featured in winter drinks, but I prefer to believe it’s because of the feelings they bring with them. Alcohol may give you the warm and fuzzies, but Christmas cocktails come with memories, family get togethers, Staff parties, catch ups with old friends…there’s no doubt that winter warmer cocktails warm the cockles of the heart.
I was worried that this year, with lockdown 2.o and tier restrictions looming that I might miss out on all that this year, but instead, I have been gifted (yes already!) the warm and fuzzy winter cocktail joy to the door of my own home courtesy of The Exotic Booze Club.
Exotic Booze Club have their home in the Chester Indoor market, and made Lockdown the first one a much more enjoyable experience by their cocktail home delivery service. Their team with their Hawaiian shirts and massive smiles brought huge joy to people all over the area able to have delicious cocktails brought to their door. Their cocktail pouches are freezer friendly and my mother who was shielding was delighted to have a freezer full of Long Island Iced Teas to see her through the long months without me!
So Lockdown 2 arrives and once again Exotic Booze Club have done us proud. This time alongside the usual range of pornstar martinis, espresso martinis and even Pina coladas, they have launched a range of winter cocktails guaranteed to get you feeling festive.

Winter-politan
£20.00 per pouch (approx. 4 drinks)
This winter take on a classic includes Gin with orange liqueur, cranberry juice, citrus mix and spices.
You can pretend to be Carrie Bradshaw skipping through snow in Manolos and imagine what Christmas with Mr Big’s budget would be like.
Hot Russian
£20.00 per pouch (approx. 4 drinks) 
Let’s be honest, the Russians know better than us how to handle the cold, so let’s take a drunken leaf from their recipe book. This cocktail of course contains Vodka, with lashings of coffee liqueur, fresh milk and cream, and a dash of Exotic Booze Club’s very own gingerbread syrup. Garnished with a grating of dark chocolate – because that’s what the Russians would do. За здоровье! (Nah zda-ROVH-yeh!)
Spiced Rum Toddy

This one is pretty self explanatory if you know what a Toddy is…ok so I don’t know it’s technical meaning, I just know my uncle says it’s the best thing for a cold or flu. (Uncle Ro has no medical training whatsoever, just to be clear, he’s just a very cool old dude).
So, this cocktail comes with Spiced Rum, pressed apple juice and even more spice – balanced with citrus mix and served with a spice garnish.
Hot Beena
£20.00 per pouch (approx. 4 drinks)
This version of an “Adult” Ribena cannot fail to bring you lovely memories of being comforted as a child with the added bonus of Tequila! Added to Berry Liqueur, Citrus Mix, (Actual Ribena), and garnishes with a fresh chilli for a real winter warmer (you Add your own spice so it is optional).

Cocktails come with FREE Delivery if you order over 2 Cocktail Pouches per address. Pour out the pouch into a mug to warm in the microwave or into a pan on a hob to slowly fill your house with the most delicious festive smells.
Last orders are requested on Thursday night by 8pm for delivery Friday afternoon.

Cocktails are Delivered in reusable plastic cocktail pouches and all Covid safety guidelines are followed.
However, to comply with licensing laws Exotic Booze Club operate a Challenge 25 age verification policy and may require I.D on delivery – they also cannot accept cash on the door – please message them for bank details if PayPal payment is not convenient.
