Taste Cheshire Food and Drink Awards 2023: Nominate Your Favourites Today!

The Taste Cheshire Food and Drink Awards are back for 2023, and voting is now open. Cheshire’s only publicly voted awards of this kind have been running for over 20 years and Taste Cheshire are proud to launch this year’s voting starting today. Last year, these awards saw more than 58,000 votes, which was a record, and Taste Cheshire are hoping to break that record again this year!

THIS YEAR WILL BE THE AWARD’S 21st BIRTHDAY and the team will be pulling out all the stops to bring Cheshire hospitality together to announce the winners a fantastic night of food, drink, and celebration on September 27th ,2023 at Chester Racecourse.

This is your chance to nominate your favourite Cheshire food and drink businesses to be recognised for their delicious food, outstanding service, and commitment to excellence.

The awards are all voted for by the public, so your vote really does count.

There are 14 categories to choose from, so you’re sure to find something to nominate. From restaurants and cafes to shops and event venues, there’s something for everyone.

Here are some of the categories you can nominate for: Best Small Restaurant, Best Large Restaurant, Best Casual Eatery, Best Event Venue, Best Local Produce shop, Best Use of local produce in a menu, Best Bar, Food Producer, Drink Producer, Best Pub, Best Accomodation, Family Friendly, Green Award and Best Newcomer.

A nomination like this means a lot for local businesses.

The process to vote is simple with everyone encouraged to vote for their favourite place or producer in each category by going online to www.tastecheshire.com and visiting the awards page.

You can vote for whomever you wish in every category, but only one voting form will register from each computer/email address.

We are looking to you, the people of Cheshire to nominate your favourite establishment from across the county, in the categories that are most applicable.

Taste Cheshire General Manager, Briony Wilson said “The awards have gained such a following over the past 21 years, and we are happy that many people in our region consider them to be a standard of excellence. Our region’s dining and drinking culture has really taken off, and we think our awards accurately represent the extraordinary quality on offer. The County of Food and Drink is Cheshire, in fact. The Taste Cheshire Awards serve as a measure of excellence for our region’s restaurants, producers, and other establishments, and we are happy to recognise those at the top of their fields.”

When the voting finishes on the 25th August, Taste Cheshire will name the four/five nominations in each category who will be mystery dined by a panel of industry judges. These judges will then complete a report on each venue; the report becomes available to the venue after the winners have been announced, showing how their business was judged. The judging is one of total transparency which is why these awards are so special. Nominated by customers and judged by industry experts.
