The Taste Cheshire Food Festival, staged annually at Chester Racecourse each Easter, is proud to announce a very special sponsorship deal with Individual Restaurants Company (IRC). The deal is the biggest ever announced by organisers, with every penny of the sponsorship going back to all those who attend this year’s festival.
Taste Cheshire General Manager, Briony Wilson said she was thrilled with the partnership. “This is a monumental deal for the festival and we are proud to be able to make it happen. This is a deal that sees every ticket purchaser rewarded with a dinning gift from Individual Restaurants of between £20 and £30. Its simply amazing.”
Individual Restaurants is inviting every online purchaser of VIP tickets to join Club Individual where they will receive a £30 welcome dining gift that can be spent in any of its nationwide establishments and a £20 welcome dining gift for every purchaser of online general admission tickets. The person booking the ticket simply follows the personalised link provided and fills in the registration form. Your personal Club Individual card, loaded with the bespoke welcome dining gift of either £30 or £20, will then be posted out to guests and can be used at any one of Individual Restaurants’ nationwide restaurants at any time, including: Piccolino, Restaurant Bar and Grill, Opera Grill, BANK and Gino D’Acampo My Restaurant.
Wilson continued, “This is the best deal we have ever put together for our festival. With VIP tickets costing just £20 and general admission tickets only £6 online during December, you can see what an amazing partnership this is. It does mean that both Opera Grill and Piccolino, based in Chester, will be very, very busy over the Easter period so buy your tickets and book now to avoid disappointment. It’s a significant partnership and one of which we are all very proud. It puts money back into the hands of all festival visitors and shows what great value this festival is. We thank Individual Restaurants for its backing.”
Individual Restaurants Sales Manager, Sam Dhaliwal, said: “Taste Cheshire Food and Drink Festival is a key date in the diary for anyone with a passion for food and drink. Over what is almost two decades, organisers have built an incredible event championing the region’s very best independent food producers, and food and drink operators. We wanted to show our support for what promises to be the biggest and best festival yet and to provide attendees with a special gift they can enjoy long after the event weekend.”
The Taste Cheshire Food and Drink Festival is now in its 19th year and each year attracts between 24-30,000 people. It creates in excess of £2.4 million of economic benefit for the city of Chester and has seen some of the biggest stars of the industry on its stages over the last two decades. James Martin, Gregg Wallace, Simon Rimmer, Thomasina Miers, Lesley Waters, Paul Rankin, Michael Caines and Jean Christophe Novelli are just some of the people who have entertained the large crowds over the years. The festival has run free children’s cooking classes for the last 10 years and entertained and educated over 8,000 children, showing them how to prepare meals. In conjunction with the festival Taste Cheshire run the Taste Cheshire Hospitality Awards to find the best restaurants, pubs and cafes across Cheshire. These awards, voted for by the general public, have attracted over 40,000 votes each year for the last two years, making these the biggest food and drink awards in the UK with a public vote.
Festival Organiser, Stephen Wundke is looking forward to an exciting year and explains: “Every year we say it can’t get bigger and every year there is more to the event. Our partnership with Taste Cheshire and the amazing deal with Individual Restaurants shows just how big this event has become at so many levels. Almost 2,000 people attend Camperfest on the Roodee during the Festival, we have pony rides, kid’s films and dog shows to entertain these campers and their families, plus the adult cooking classes, the BBQ master classes and all of the chef demos featuring the normal stars and the chefs from our local restaurants. It’s so very exciting. We can’t wait and of course this very special deal with Individual Restaurants is the icing on an already very large cake. It’s fabulous.”
Tickets for the festival go on sale from December 1st at www.chesterfoodanddrink.co.uk.
