On Wednesday the 2nd March Eddisbury Member of Parliament, Antoinette Sandbach is hosting a Cheshire Food and Drink Day at the Houses of Parliament and Taste Cheshire, will be taking many of Cheshire’s finest Food and Drink producers down to London to shout about Cheshire and its huge array of superb producers.
Antoinette believes this to be an excellent opportunity for the county and is looking forward to showing key decision makers in London just what an excellent producer county we are and how good Cheshire produce really is, as she explained.
“I am a passionate believer in supporting our local Cheshire businesses so the opportunity to create a showcase at Westminster for our many wonderful food and drink producers was something myself and the other Cheshire MP’s really wanted to support. On the 2nd March with our Cheshire Food and Drink Day we will be able to show the country’s politicians and some key business decision makers the quality of the Cheshire offer. We are all looking forward to it very much.”
Taste Cheshire Chief Executive, Stephen Wundke said “We were delighted to be asked by Antionette to help with this very important day and praise her initiative. She is an MP who believes in our local economy and has worked hard to champion the local producer. Her idea to showcase Cheshire Food and Drink through this day was a hit with all the other Cheshire MP’s and we will have a great representation from across the county.”
Taste Cheshire will be featuring products from Whiteys handmade Popcorn, Claire Burt’s award winning Blue Cheshire Cheese, Haughton’s Honey of Tarporley, the sauces of Essential Cuisine of Winsford, the 2015 Sausage Champion, Duttons Butchers of Kelsall, Powells Speciaility Pork Pies of Malpas and Berry Fresh Bakery of Norbury.
These are just some of the Cheshire products that will be on display at the Houses of Parliament on Wednesday 2nd March for Cheshire Food and Drink day. Aday that promises to put the Cheshire Food and Drink offer firmly in the face of and food sceptics.
