Bents Garden & Home has many passions and freshly prepared food is one of them. Whilst current regulations mean the Centre’s six dining destinations must remain closed, the team has been working hard to re-introduce a number of their homemade tasty treats for its customers, including a selection of homebakes, Afternoon Teas to take away and a range of speciality coffees.

The Centre is in the process of welcoming back its colleagues.  Amongst the most recent to re-join the team are colleagues from the Fresh Approach Restaurant’s brigade of chefs, who are returning to carefully planned kitchens where they are preparing a range of Bents’ favourite treats.

A selection of freshly made homebakes including fairy buns, Viennese whirls, almond slices and gateaux all available to purchase on a daily basis from the Food Hall along with Bents’ famous giant scones which are available Wednesday – Sunday, whilst Afternoon Teas are also being prepared for collection from Bents’ new Click and Collect point, located outside the Food Hall.

Everything required to create the perfect Afternoon Tea is included; a selection of sandwiches, mini Honeywell’s sausage rolls, crisps, cakes, Bents’ mini scones, clotted cream, jam, strawberries as well as English breakfast tea bags to make the perfect cup of tea.

And for those who enjoy a freshly prepared beverage, the new Coffee Huts located at both the main entrance and the entrance to the Food Hall provide a menu of speciality coffees and a selection of hot and cold drinks.

Says Matthew Bent, Managing Director at Bents Garden & Home: “There’s still a long way to go until the Centre can return to normal, but in the meantime we are trying to think of as many ways as we can to improve the experience for our customers.  Food really is one of our biggest passions and we’ve really missed being able to open our dining destinations, but these services are just a few ways we can bring freshly made food back to Bents.”

Bents continues to follow rigorous rules, working hard to ensure their customer experience is as safe and secure as possible, whilst continuing to offer the friendly, family environment that the Centre is known for.

Says Matthew: “We are looking forward to a time when we can re-open our restaurants and other attractions, but for now we are doing all we can to keep our colleagues safe and our customers surprised with little treats along the way.”
