Sunday roasts are a quintessential British tradition, and there’s no better place to indulge in one than at the newly opened Nine Mill Street in Nantwich. This elegant restaurant has quickly become a popular spot for locals and visitors alike, thanks to its delicious food, impeccable service, and stylish ambiance.
We recently had the pleasure of enjoying a Sunday roast at Nine Mill Street, and we were not disappointed. The food was absolutely divine, with each dish cooked to perfection.
For our main courses, Tori opted for the succulent leg of lamb, while Briony chose the roast beef. Both dishes were melt-in-your-mouth tender and full of flavour. The gravy was rich and savoury, with a hint of spice that complimented the meat perfectly. Served with a trio of roasted vegetables, which were perfectly seasoned and cooked to a delightful al dente texture. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy clouds on the inside, and the Yorkshire pudding was light and airy and huge!
To accompany our meal, we selected red wine from the restaurant’s extensive and extremely reasonably priced wine list. Our knowledgeable server helped us choose the perfect pairing for our meal, and the wine complemented the flavours beautifully.
No Sunday roast would be complete without dessert, and we were spoiled for choice at Nine Mill Street. We decided to pair our desserts with cocktails as we had seen the most gorgeously presented cocktails arrive at a nearby table and very much had order envy!
Tori selected the Chocolate and Orange Tart, which was a decadent treat. The tart was rich and chocolatey, with a hint of orange zest that added a refreshing touch. Paired with a Ferrero Rocher Espresso Martini for Tori and a Spicy Mango Margarita for Briony paired with the perfection of a vanilla crème brulee. Both cocktails were beautifully presented and perfectly balanced in flavour.
The service at Nine Mill Street was impeccable. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The staff were all beautifully turned out, and the restaurant itself had an elegant and festive atmosphere.
The bar area shines with golden glamour and every corner has been thoughtfully and stylishly decorated for the Christmas season.
Overall, our Sunday roast at Nine Mill Street was an exceptional experience. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the ambiance was perfect. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a grown-up culinary experience.
