Air Broadband is pleased to announce that their full fibre broadband service is officially live in Chester. This milestone means homes and businesses in Chester are now able to join the broadband revolution and enjoy full fibre broadband.

Air Broadband’s first customer in Chester, Jason Duncan, has described his experience so far as “great, absolutely great!”

When we first spoke to Mr. Duncan, he was being “driven mad” by his unreliable internet connection. There are four people in the household, and they used to take turns on the internet, one at a time. He is thrilled that Air has made that a thing of the past!

Asked what his hopes were for his new broadband, he told us that he hoped this would come to an end, and the whole household would be able to enjoy the connection, be it for streaming, gaming or work. When we followed up with him, we asked him if this had been the case. He told us “so far so good, everyone can use it at the same time – and there’s no buffering!”

Jason describes the contrast between Air and the several previous providers he has tried as being “like black and white”, telling us how he experienced the difference in real time; upon using one of the devices in his home, he found the connection slow and laggy, but when he checked the connection, he found that the device was simply still connected to his old broadband! “As soon as I switched it over to the Air connection, the difference was so obvious.”

He says that his expectations have been well met and even exceeded: when he first decided to keep an eye out for fibre broadband in his area, he was frustrated with the constant delays and outages he was experiencing and simply wanted decent broadband. “I’d have settled for a stable connection,” he admits, “but this definitely exceeds that expectation!”

As an avid gamer, Jason strongly recommends that fellow video game lovers switch to Air. When we first spoke to Jason, he highlighted how important reliable internet and fast connection are to his hobby. After experiencing his favourite games on a super-fast fibre connection, he says that he has been raving about Air to all of his online friends. There is less lag and his download speed is at least 20% faster than before.

Asked what the best thing about switching to Air was, Jason said that, as he works from home, he appreciates being able to participate in work-related video calls without freezing on an unflattering face!
