Dial West Cheshire are delighted to announce the appointment of Bob Rudd, previous Lord Mayor of Chester, Garden Quarter Councillor and Chairman of Cheshire West and Chester Council, as their new Chair of Directors.
Bob joins the charity with an extensive background in the public sector as well as previous charity experience as long-serving Chairman of the board at Chester Aid to the Homeless (CATH). Over the years, he has tirelessly devoted himself to using his professional experience to give back to the community he cares so much about.
Keith Roper, Chief Officer of Dial West Cheshire said, “We are thrilled to welcome Bob to the team as Chair of Directors. He is a deservedly well-respected member of the public and charity landscape here in West Cheshire and Chester and we are all really very excited to see how he will use his expertise to guide Dial West Cheshire through our forthcoming time together.”
Bob Rudd, Chair of Directors, commented, “I am delighted to have been offered and accepted the position as Chair of Directors at Dial West Cheshire. This charity is an absolute lifeline for disabled people in our community and I intend to help to raise the charity’s profile so that they get the recognition that they deserve.”

Dial West Cheshire provides a number of services for disabled people in Cheshire West and Chester including a free Disability Rights and Advice service, a city centre Community Café in Chester and volunteering and training for disabled people to help them to gain paid employment.
