Whitchurch restaurant is included amongst the top restaurants in the country.

Docket No.33 is a new entry into the latest edition of the famous guide.

08th October, 2019: Docket No.33 has been awarded The Plate in the 2020 edition of the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland. The Whitchurch based restaurant is now included within the guide, alongside just 1,463 other restaurants from across Great Britain and Ireland.

The launch event of this year’s guide was held at The Hurlingham Club in London on the 7th October, and the full guide was announced online yesterday evening.

Docket No.33 opened in August 2017 on High Street, Whitchurch and offers a carefully curated Tasting Menu which focuses on using local and seasonal ingredients. Following the publication, Docket No.33 becomes the first restaurant in the market town to be listed within the guide.

Michelin Guide’s Point of View of the restaurant is ‘A sweet little restaurant set in an old market town and run by a friendly couple. The set tasting menu changes weekly and offers modern dishes which are inspired by the restaurant’s location and enhanced with some international influence. Appealing drinks pairings complete the picture’.

Docket No.33 co-owner and chef, Stuart Collins, has previously worked with Michelin starred chef Gordon Ramsay at his self-named restaurants on Hospital Road, London and at The London NYC, New York, and Michael Caines MBE at the well renowned Gidleigh Park in Devon and Abode Chester.

Stuart said, ‘having spent many years working in kitchens with various editions of the Michelin Guide on the shelf, we are delighted to now be included ourselves’.

‘Most of our ingredients are sourced from within Shropshire, and its great to see the quality is being recognised. With guests travelling from all over the country to visit the restaurant, it is a real privilege to be able to showcase the incredible ingredients Shropshire has to offer’.

The owners of Docket Restaurants, a husband-and-wife duo, have received overwhelmingly positive reaction since opening their first restaurant with 5-star reviews for their Tasting Menu concept, Docket No.33. The opening of their wine bar, Docket No.64, Chester, in October 2018, came hot off the heels of its sister restaurant’s success and shares the same ethos of sourcing local, seasonal produce.

Docket Restaurants regularly host events designed to inspire guests and introduce new and exciting flavours. Prices start from £45 per person for the Tasting Menu and further details can be found on their website and various social media channels.
