Saturday Wine School: a world tour at the Wine School of Cheshire

Description

Join us for an inspiring journey through the world of wine at our first al fresco Saturday Wine School of 2023!

It promises to be an unforgettable afternoon of discovery, enjoyment, and culinary excellence in our beautiful walled garden.

With a five-course tasting menu to enjoy too, Cheshire wine specialist Richard J Smith will guide you through each wine and much more: you’ll get to sip and savour new favourites from around the world and see how they change when paired with each dish.

12:30 Arrivals and introductions. Join us first at Art Box where we’ll welcome you to wine school with a glass of The Gusbourne Estate Brut Reserve, a premium English vintage sparkling wine. Find out a little more about our home wine industry and enjoy our arrival time in the gallery before we escort guests to The Wine Garden to enjoy our chosen wines for the rest of the day with lunch.

13.00 Our first wine to taste – enjoy a white wine that can be enjoyed without food and find out more about how to taste wine and what all the swirling and sniffing is actually for.

13:20 Lunch: a different quality wine paired with each principal course (select the menu bar below to see a sample menu)

15:20 Take a breather for coffee or tea served at your table as we prepare for the afternoon red wines.

16:45 Your food and wine pairing experience continues as you’ll enjoy a cheese course by Britain’s finest cheesemonger, Paxton & Whitfield, to enjoy with the final two red wines

We expect to finish at around 4.30pm.
