My Sunday Hot Pot Treat #Blog

I certainly felt the lucky one when I was invited out to friends for supper on Sunday evening.  I love casual time spent with friends, there is something cozy about them.

Sunday afternoon came and off we went to Helsby where our friends have a lovely cottage, nestled in the heart of the country village.  What I hadn’t realised, was that we were going to be eating Hot Pot from the fabulous H.E Cowards in Frodsham, my evening just got even better!

After a lot of chit chat we sat down to eat.  I can honestly say the Hot Pot which was topped with Sue Cowards famous pastry was an absolute star.  It says it serves 6 people and looked enormous, but the 5 of us that ate it polished the whole lot off, there were no leftovers for Mondays lunch that’s for sure!

Cowards make their Hot Pots to order, you can choose what filling you want and can also have the option of decorating the pastry topping for your occasion.  How fancy is that!

There is a great range of Pies and Ready Meals available at Cowards, and going by the Hot Pot I ate, I’ll most definitely be back to sample more.

Thank you Fiona and Andy for your hospitality and thank you H E Cowards for the delicious Hot Pot.  We will be back!
