Calling all beer and cider lovers in Whitchurch! The Black Bear, located at the top of Whitchurch High Street, is throwing their first Beer and Cider Festival in a long time, and it’s set to be a belter!

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Dates:
    • Friday, May 24th: 5pm onwards
    • Saturday, May 25th: 11.30am – 11pm
    • Sunday, May 26th: 11.30am – 10pm
    • Bank Holiday Monday, May 27th: 11.30am – 10pm
  • Entry: Free!
  • Food:
    • Special BBQ menu on Friday (5pm-8pm) and Saturday (12pm-8pm) with a brand new sausage made with the pub’s own JPA!
    • Delicious roast dinners, pub classics, and snacks available on Sunday (12pm-8pm).
  • Music: Live music throughout the weekend featuring fantastic local artists!
    • Friday: Poppy Hall (acoustic set) – 5pm-9pm
    • Saturday: Rob Chapman (3pm-5pm) + more artists from 6pm onwards (check social media for updates!)
    • Sunday: Hayley Strangelove (of Baxter duo) – 4pm-7pm + more local acts

The Drinks:

  • Over 25 beers and ciders from Shropshire, Cheshire, and Wales!
  • Familiar favourites from breweries like Big Hand, Stonehouse, Ludlow, Four Priests, Salopian, Weetwood and more!
  • New and exciting options to discover! Keep an eye on The Black Bear’s social media for updates on incoming deliveries.

How it Works:

  • Grab your Black Bear branded glass (yours to keep!) and beer token card for £10 before hitting the bar.
  • Tokens make buying drinks a breeze (no cash or card needed at the festival stands).
  • The pub bar operates as usual for those who prefer it.

The Setting:

The festival takes place in The Black Bear’s beautiful courtyard garden, a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a refreshing drink. They’ll have everything covered in case the British weather decides to be unpredictable.
