WFH?? Work From Hotel. The new working option from The Grosvenor Pulford #Out and About

How is working from home going? Has the novelty worn off yet? You’re not alone.

According to the Mental Health Foundation over half of UK employees are working an extra hour a day now they are working from home. While this might be a fairly shocking number, it is understandable. When we live in the same place we work, the boundaries between our work lives and home lives can very easily become blurred. Taking the initiative to mark out a separation is key to looking after ourselves during these strange times.

The Coronavirus pandemic is forcing us to reimagine the ways we live and work. It has opened our eyes to the benefits of flexible working.

While you’re probably not missing your commute if you’re working from home right now, but we know that you might be ready for a change of scenery to break up those working days.

That is why we are happy to Introduce the “Work from Hotel” package from The Grosvenor Pulford, where you can enjoy a day at the office in the comfort of a four-star hotel.

The Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and Spa is set in the heart of the Cheshire countryside and is a haven of tranquillity, a place to escape, leave the world behind. So Why Work from Home when you could Work from Hotel?

Yesterday the Team from Taste Cheshire took some time away from our “offices” and enjoyed experiencing the Work from Hotel lifestyle.

So how exactly does it work?

Firstly, you can book this package in advance at a cost for just £15 per person. It’s available Monday to Friday and you have your choice of workspace (duration of 4 hours) in either the first floor breakout area or Palm Court restaurant (subject to availability).

We arrived, parked in the large and totally free car park and were directed by the helpful team downstairs up to the breakout area. If you are booked into the Breakout area then you check in at reception, if you’re booked in Palm Court, you speak to the restaurant host on arrival and they will seat you. Information like this however is clearly laid out on your confirmation email.

We were immediately greeted upstairs with our choice of tea, coffee or soft drink – these are unlimited during your time there.

After the arrival of our delicious coffees, we got settled in with our laptops and were offered assistance connecting to the high speed internet access. Internet access is also unlimited during your time there.

The breakout area is spacious and airy, filled with light from a large window and we benefitted from the large TV showing BBC news to keep us up to date with the world outside, something that is so important with the ever changing situation.

We were offered our choice of delicious sandwich or panini for our working lunch, again this is included in the package. The large portion of colourful fresh food was a welcome sight, and it feels so good not to have to take time out to go make something.

The other common behaviour that happens at home being, of course, that you skip lunch and work through it. Breaks are hugely restorative and important – they allow us to stop stress from accumulating early on in the day and support a quicker recovery come the end of the working day. 41% of British people admit to being more likely to work through their lunch breaks now they’re working from home.

The other huge advantage of working from a hotel rather than from home, is not being tempted into distraction by housework. You can work easy knowing the hotel have your safety as their priority, whilst delivering on the highest standards of service. All staff have received COVID-19 specific training and have signed a daily health declaration. They undertake a daily temperature check prior to commencing work. They have enhanced frequency of cleaning and sanitisation regimes through out the hotel.

They worry about their COVID security, so you don’t have to.

Whether you use the Work from Hotel package as a break from the four walls of your “home office”, or if it’s a good way to keep you productive, maximising your work time by creating a clearer boundary between work and home.

The Grosvenor Pulford can help you  stay busy and manage your working day whilst enjoying a change of surroundings, safe in the knowledge that their COVID-secure work spaces are safe and suitable for your working needs.

A big Thank you to The Nelson Hotel group for inviting us to try out their Work from Hotel Package….as you can see, we got a lot of work done!
