The votes have been counted and Taste Cheshire Food and Drink Awards organisers have today announced the finalists in each of the categories for the 2020 Awards.
Taste Cheshire have been thrilled with the response, CEO Stephen Wundke said “With every year we are inspired by the public’s excitement to get involved with our awards, for two decades the people of Cheshire have been voting for their favourite places and this year we are pleased to see them voting for a diverse range of venues from every corner of our county.
Our special thanks to our sponsors of each award without whom we wouldn’t be able to continue to stage these awards. Each year, at our Presentation Dinner, when we crown our champions, we get to see just how important these awards are, to those within the industry. It is very satisfying seeing so many people all together at the very top of their profession.”
This year sees the first nominations for entirely plant-based venues, highlighting that once again the Taste Cheshire awards are tracking with the trends in the food and drink market.
Once again, local food and drink producers have also received nominations and Taste Cheshire General Manager, Briony Wilson was pleased to be able to highlight this area. “Cheshire has some of the finest and most innovative food and drink producers and these awards were created to celebrate all of these food heroes, from the cottage industry up to the main line producer. It was great to see previously nominated producers move from the small to the large producer category, a great recognition of the incredible achievements by our local producers in the past year”.
Now comes the hard part as each nomination is now mystery dined and shopped by industry experts over the coming 4 weeks to see who will be, the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners.
So, if you are dining alone over the next few weeks you just might get some exceptional, above and beyond service! Taste Cheshire wish every nomination the best of luck and look forward to seeing the winners at the presentation.
The Awards dinner takes place on April 15th at Chester Racecourse. For more information go to www.tastecheshire.com.
